Sail Batteries provides the following warranty to the original purchaser, subject to the terms and conditions outlined below.
If Sail Batteries, either directly or through a reseller, determines upon inspection that the battery has a manufacturing defect and is still within the warranty period, it will be replaced free of charge with an equivalent battery. This replacement does not renew or extend the original warranty period, in accordance with your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
Warranty Coverage
This warranty applies to batteries that become unusable or unserviceable due to defects in materials or workmanship. It covers batteries that:
Are correctly sized and fitted for their intended application
Are properly maintained and charged using an approved charging system
Are supported by valid proof of purchase
Are returned to a Sail Batteries dealer or service location for inspection
No claims will be accepted without proof of purchase.
Warranty Periods by Application

Warranty Exclusions
This warranty does not apply to batteries that fail due to:
Improper installation or misapplication
Physical damage, mishandling, or impact (e.g., dropped batteries)
Loose or corroded terminals
Exposure to fire, explosion, or freezing
Overcharging or neglect
Modifications or tampering
Sulphation caused by prolonged undercharging or lack of maintenance
To prevent sulphation, batteries must be fully recharged after any significant discharge, and the full charging cycle must be completed.
Please note:
A discharged or flat battery is not covered under warranty.
Warranty applies only to manufacturing defects.
Batteries may need to be returned to the manufacturer for testing if required.
If available, use a load tester to confirm battery condition.
Ensure the correct CCA or AH value is entered into the tester.
Normal wear and tear, including reduced CCA or AH performance over time, is not covered under warranty.
Replacing a battery under warranty does not renew or extend the original warranty period.
